Hampton Inn & Suites Lakeland-South Polk Parkway

I’ve been staying at this hotel for 9 days so far this year, and had a pleasant experience overall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel comfortable from the start. The location is excellent — surrounded by great restaurants, shopping, and a lively atmosphere that’s easy to enjoy. However, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. I noticed a musty smell in some parts of the hotel, which was a bit off-putting. Additionally, the bathrooms don’t have exhaust fans, so moisture from showers tends to linger and may be contributing to the musty air. Despite these issues, the hotel has a lot of potential, and with a few updates it could be an even better place to stay.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites for one night with my cross-country team during the regional championships. ||||The staff at the hotel truly went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional experience throughout our stay.||||The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. ||||The waffles were particularly delicious, and the orange juice was refreshing and flavorful.||||For our room, I was with Jackson, Ethan and Jake and we were in room 507 which was a two queen guest room on the fifth floor and the room was very nice but the rest of the team had a king size bedroom and then three other team members had a studio suite with two queen beds so overall, it was a wonderful experience in all of those rooms||||The rooms appeared to have

We arrived late and upon entering our room we were assaulted by an overwhelming odor of bleach. I didn't see any chalk lines on the floor so I figured someone went heavy on the bleech cleaning the bathroom. After a long travel day I just wanted to get to bed. It didn't take long to realize that the odor was the air conditioner. It smelled of musty moldy bleech. On top of that we soon discovered that the toilet auto flushed / refilled about every 9 minutes. When we informed the front desk in the morning they switched our room for the 2nd night. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly, but I'll take my chances elsewhere the next time I come to the area.

The Serving lady Dolly downstairs was very nice and helpful at breakfast. We loved interacting with her and she always is so kind and sweet. She takes care of us when we go down for breakfast and she made our experience 10x better
