Hampton Inn & Suites Destin

The Destin Hampton Inn was a great and an place to stay for a week when experiencing Destin, Florida for the first time. The rooms were large, spacious, and clean. I loved the location, which was right off of 98 and very close to everything including the beach. From the hotel the beach was about a 3-5 min walk. The value was definitely there being in a prime location, next shops, bars, the beach, and places to eat. I would stay here the next time I visited Destin.

We arrived at the hotel by chartered bus. We received our room keys. On the way to our rooms on the second floor, we had to use only one elevator, as the construction team was using the other one. Arriving on the second floor, it was under construction. The noise was unbearable; with 14 of us in the group, it was unacceptable. After our group leader contacted the manager, they were able to accommodate us by changing all of our rooms to the first floor. If we had known that the hotel was under construction during the time of booking. We would have picked another location. My room was okay, but it's an old hotel that needs renovating, so I would recommend picking another hotel until the renovations are complete.

The location of this hotel is pretty good. There’s only I think one public beach within walking distance though which is a bummer. The hotel itself desperately needs to be updated. My room 215 the paint was chipping off the bottom of the of the bathroom door, when we first arrived there was a couple wet spots in the carpet. Gross. The toilet appeared clean but the lids were left up... which leaves me questioning if it was cleaned or not... the staff was friendly and helpful although I didn’t appreciate the phone call to my room at nearly 9 pm telling me to have my dog stop barking when he was asleep on the floor next to my bed... it woke my son up so that wasn’t too great. I also seem to be charged more than my final bill so I have to call hiltons customer service. Breakfast was meh. Not a

Roaches after 20 minutes in room, dirty bedding, uncomfortable beds. Half the hotel is under construction for remodel. No working shower dripped two drops at full blast so don’t expect to shower. No gym it’s an empty room so don’t expect to workout if you do. We booked two nights and left after the first they wouldn’t refund the second night and we just ate the loss it was that disgusting and went to a clean hotel we can get a shower at. The elevator had a foam wall covered in scratches and writing the other elevator broke down and was out of order. The fact that they’re remodeling I get but they should close down to do so with the poor quality of the hotel. Hilton honors hotels clearly are no longer reliable as a clean and nice hotel. Will never stay at a Hilton run hotel again. Save your

We came here during the seafood festival and didn’t even plan that. The hotel staff was so friendly, and helpful. They informed us of the festival and where to park. We were in a suite that overlooked the water it was so pretty! The staff as very attentive to us bringing extra towels when needed and blankets since there was a few of us. There was 4 of us in the suite and it fit us comfortably. Ritamae answered all our questions. There was also a kitchen chef who was so helpful. We always stay at Hampton inn because the breakfast is open early, we are early risers and our children sometimes do not get up as early as us. The kitchen chef made plain scrambled eggs one morning for breakfast for our daughter because the mini omelette that were prepared had peppers and she has a food allergy. Th
