Hampton Inn & Suites Bay City

Positive: Location to water Negative: Broke door lock, small rooms with limited outlets, room faced parking lot, contractors started work at 6:30, no clean towels

Location of the hotel was good, and the staff were nice and easy to work with. The breakfast was really good and had a lot of options. The rooms were a little dirty and the bed and pillows are not comfortable. The pillows smelled like they were not clean. Our door also had a gap in it and didn’t close correctly - I did show the front desk this and they did schedule maintenance for that room so that’s good.

Clean, hidden away from main road, room was quiet surprisingly with the number of kids running around unsupervised. Staff had an eye kids, getting them out of exercise room.|Only thing we didn’t like was the bathroom had a sliding barn door instead of one on hinges. Good breakfast.

Clean, friendly staff, and great location. If you have kids Culvers is across the street as is meijers grocery for any travel needs. Cant speak to the quality of the pool as i didnt have time to jump in. The breakfast wasn't the biggest but had some unique things like strawberry waffle batter... would definitely stay there again.

One of the worst experiences at hotel, I’ve ever had. First, the room we were in the door wouldn’t lock. You didn’t need a key card to get in, you could just lightly push the door open. Looks like someone kicked the door in, and they never fixed it. Thank god we noticed it, before we went to bed or left the hotel. I informed front desk she put me in a room with only 1 bed and sofa pull out, compared to the 2 queens I booked to accommodate my family. Sofa bed was uncomfortable and no pillows were ever delivered to our room, fridge in the new room was broken. Asked for manager 3 times, and James was never available and was told to email him and he might respond that way. The front desk couldn’t care what happened, and obviously neither did management. My family and I will not be returning t
