Flamingo Motel

The 'manager' is an older lady, who does not live on site, knows nothing of technology and doesn't seem to care how the place is run, unless her boss is showing up. The 'maintenance' guy is a young ex?- drug addict and does his job half-heartedly. The bed was boney and pillows seemed at least a decade old and lumpy. The location is fine, if you have your own transportation, but there are no decent stores (other than 'convenience' stores and a dollar general) within walking distance. It is on the outskirts of town. If one needs to take the bus, be prepared to be jossled around and go in circles (yes, they go in circles to and from the station) and they only run once per hour. The room was very dirty and disgusting,especially the bathroom,the curtains in the bathroom were even pink because the had not been washed at all. The beds were very uncomfortable and there was even dog urine on the window curtians. The service was also not good for the price i paid I am definitely never staying here again.

The photo on the review page bears absolutely NO resemblance to the Flamingo in Bay City. It's a one story 50's vintage motel located on the edge of town with an automobile salvage yard across the street. The photo is as misleading as any imaginable. If you want a low cost motel you are going to get that or less at this place. My advice, move on.

I had to get away from the rat race a day. Found this little gem of a place on the south side of Bay City. Now I dont think much of bay city but this was a nice clean place. No thrills just a nice bed, rooms had cable tv and a mic and fridg in the room. I would stay there again

New owner. Everything worked for a decent price. Very homelike feeling.
