Hampton Inn St. Augustine Downtown Historic District

I stayed here for two nights during the Christmas holidays. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, and the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. I don’t quite understand why this property charges for parking when it’s not covered and located in a relatively crowded area, but once I mentioned it, they offered me a parking discount as a Gold member, which I appreciated. The location is decent, but if the weather isn’t good, walking to many popular sights could be inconvenient. The hotel itself is in need of major renovation. While the room was spacious and had plenty of storage space, the AC/heating unit didn’t function properly, and the bathroom was in poor condition. The tile and sink seal were broken, the hair dryer was clogged with dust, and the lighting was too dim. Breakf

We stayed at this venue for two nights for our trip to St. Augustine. The hotel was very clean and had been recently updated. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. We immediately felt comfortable there.On the first day, we went to breakfast at 9:30. There were no egg products available and a couple of bits of sausage. There were NO FORKS!!! We spoke to the person who oversaw the breakfast and she apologized and said there were no forks. I complained to the front desk and they agreed to take the parking charge ($20/day) from our bill. The following day, the breakfast was fully stocked, even forks!This hotel is a gem. Close to everything. We would definitely stay there again.

Positive: The cost of the room once compared to others Negative: The room seemed to control itself with the temperature no matter what we set it on. Also the blind in the room did not work as it should have an we needed assistance to get it down and it never would go up again.

We stayed here in route to Port Everglades. The building was nice and clean, staff were friendly. Pool and hot tub open til 10pm, but we went down after the kids laid down and nobody said anything to us. Gym available for anyone who would like to use it. Can't say I'm a fan of the town of St Augustine, but some people will be fine with that. Just seemed like there wasn't a lot to do that didn't cost a fortune.

I loved staying here during our three day visit to St. Augustine. It's close to the Historic district and the room was clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I usually don't eat at the Complementry Breakfast's at hotel's but I did here and it was awesome! The Chicken and Sausage Patties were awesome as well as the mini egg omlet's. My question is what are those Blueberry Muffins or pastry's shaped like Triangle's? They were so GOOD! I Hope other Hampton Inn's serve these as well as everything else great about my stay here. If they do I'll be staying at a Hampton Inn on my next vacation! FIVE STAR ALL THE WAY!👍
