We often stay at Hampton Inns when we travel. We know what to expect and they typically have minimum standards. This was our first disappointment. This property is very old. We reserved a studio suite. We had a regular hotel room with a horribly stained couch shoved in so it could be called a "studio." We would not even sit on the couch it was so gross. The heating system which is an AC/heating unit was literally falling out of the wall. We watched our curtains blowing cold air from outside (37°) and could smell fresh air. The heat did not work. The unit was unplugged when we arrived, and we realized that was because the fan never shut off. Someone had obviously overflowed the bathtub in the bathroom because the bottom of the bathroom door was all warped and almost impossible to close.

Great Value I had a very pleasant stay at this Hampton Inn. Even though the property is a bit older, it was well-maintained and clean throughout. I was initially worried about highway noise given the location, but I requested a quieter room and slept perfectly—noise was not an issue at all. The essentials were all spot on: the bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The highlight, however, was breakfast. Angie served us with a huge smile and a hearty 'good morning' that really started our day off right. It’s the staff like her that make a difference. I would definitely stay here again!"

Do you love dogs? Would you like a somewhat muted dog smell in the linens, carpet, and drapes? Does it make you happy to have a dog in the room next door barking at 2AM when someone the floor above flushes? If so, this is the place for you. It's likely unfair for me to single out this property as most Hamptons now allow pets, but this was my experience.|Also, there is a surprise parking fee here - an extra $5.43 for the privilege of parking your car at a midscale hotel. "Wait!" you night be thinking. "It's not a surprise fee - it's right on a sheet of paper displayed prominently at the front desk!" True. But you don't see it on the website. The stay was good for 1 night! I don’t understand why there are many 1 star reviews. It is a Hampton-Inn off I-95 for a very cheap and affordable price, so I was not expecting very much. But I’d say it exceeded expectations! We are young girls traveling by ourselves, but we’re satisfied with the location and felt safe! Overall, it was an older crowd and families who were also making a travel stop. We are from Florida traveling up the East Coast to South Carolina and needed a place to stop, and break up the trip. Because it’s off I-95, it’s a nearby drive to restaurants and stores. We ate at La Parrilla Mexican cuisine which was 15 min south. Cute modern and trendy restaurant in a nice plaza!
