Hampton Inn Sandusky-Central

I travel, a lot... and I always stay with the Hilton brand, mostly Hampton Inns. Some are really nice, some have little problems.. but I have never been more unhappy in a hotel than the Hampton Sandusky. I will be traveling back to Sandusky quite a bit and will never stay here again. The hotel smelled when I got here, it looks like an old hotel bought out. TV doesn't work, hole in the bathroom wall, desk chair is broken, breakfast was worst I've had. Out of 70+ nights of travel this year, I've never disliked a hotel more. True disappointment.

Positive: It was clean, the staff were attentive, kind and eager to help with anything you needed. Hot breakfast was good. The room was also very clean and beds were comfortable. They have full size toiletries! It was a wonderful stay. Negative: The only issue we encountered was our AC unit in the room was not working correctly. It was blowing cool air, but not as cool as it was set to. It also kept turing on and off. Its wasn't uncomfortable, just a little warm for us.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Hampton Inn Sandusky. The bathroom was downright disgusting — it clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there were visible grime and odors that made it very uncomfortable to use. The sheets on the bed had stains, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one at this price point. The entire property feels old, outdated, and not well-maintained. Common areas and the room itself were not clean, and the overall atmosphere made the stay unpleasant from start to finish. I expected a much better standard of cleanliness and comfort. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again.

The property is very outdated and had a noticeable musty odor throughout. The room itself was disappointing - chairs had visible stains on them, and the carpeting was also stained and worn. In addition, the air conditioning system did not work properly, and the room felt very humid and uncomfortable during my stay. I travel weekly for work and am a Hilton stan, so it was very disappointing to experience a Hampton Inn in this state. I expected better upkeep and attention to cleanliness and comfort from a Hilton-branded hotel, especially as a frequent guest. This property is in need of significant updates and improvements before I would consider staying here again. I highly recommend this hotel for the majority of its services. The staff consistently strives to ensure customer satisfaction. During my first three nights, I encountered an issue with my television. After a brief investigation, it was discovered that the cable was not fully inserted, and the staff promptly rectified the problem. As a gesture of apology, they provided me with several complimentary items. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and they made sure to provide me with four extra pillows, two extra blankets as well. I had put these in a special request ahead of time when I was sent an email to register and from my experience generally the hotel once you arrive says that they did not receive any of the information that you pre-registered with, and you have to tell them everythin
