Hampton Inn Columbia Northeast-Fort Jackson Area

The room was clean. Although there was a lil stitch in the restroom. Location is awesome. Surrounded by many eatery options. The only issue was the check in and receptionist.We had 2 rooms. We are here for grandsons basic graduation. Left him briefly to come check in. We arrived at the hotel at 2:35. Was told there would be a 30.00 fee for early check in or we could wait the 24 minutes. Like really??? We waited because the other room was not ready anyway. However, at 3:00 the other room still was not ready. If you are going to be precise and not allow check in a lil early then you should ensure all rooms are ready by 3:00. We were not offered a discount for having to get the room later. I stayed here for 4 nights for business. The room is clean and spacious, with bright light for reading and a small desk for working .. the bathroom was just renovated so it very nice.. plenty of electrical outlets and USB slots. The Breakfast was good and the Ms. Kartika who works in the kitchen was super helpful… the only improvement I could think of is to make the TV stream-able. The TV is not connected to internet like most of Hilton affiliated hotels..

Positive: The staff, high ceilings in the room, comfortable, and clean. Negative: The lighting in the room. They only have bright white/daylight color lighting in the entire room. No warm color lights to just relax.

Room was dirty, sheets were not changed from previous guests. Bathrooms covered in urine on floors and toilet, no soap in dispensers obviously not cleaned or maintained. No breakfast!! What's the point of staying at Hampton Inn. Paid twice as much as the hotel next door and got no breakfast. Being a Hilton a Gold/Diamond member for >15 years and this was the worst stay i ever had in a hotel. Total waste of $188. Guess where I will not be staying next week! Unacceptable Hilton/Hampton Inn.

I had the pleasure of staying here for a week. My room was spotless when I checked in and Housekeeping did a great job everytime they serviced my room. I had a little bit of trouble getting checked in, but Vie handled the situation with kindness and professionalism. I would definitely stay here again.
