Hampton Inn Cedar Rapids South

Stayed here over Thanksgiving. Safe area with lots of restaurants. Clean room with friendly front desk staff. Our room looked like it had been recently renovated--the fire alarm and thermostat spaces were empty. The carpet was clean. The television worked and had cable channels. Everything was good. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The breakfast area had some janky tables, but nothing was worth complaining about. I don't understand why the reviews are so bad. I stay in a lot of hotels, and this place is fine.

Too expensive for the value. The room is small , no mirror to see your outfit to go out so just imagine. The carpet was dirty, the pillow on the couch was nasty , the halls way to elevator dirty too. People at reception stained shirt, unpleasant view the dressed as working in the backyard. Breakfast was nice eggs, bread, sausages, coffee but the sitting place all dirty too. I thought it was a nicer place for the price. Pool not opened the key didn’t work at all and next day closed I didn’t see nobody in at anytime.There many other hotel in the area cheaper and maybe better quality.

The desk attendant was very nice and professional. The room was very clean and was to my satisfaction. If I'm every back in this area I will definitely be staying again. And yes this is a pet friendly hotel with a $50 deposit per night.

We flew to the US to surprise family. After 36 hours of travel, our check-in woman was very kind and gave us a warm welcome home.

Overall, it was a good room for the price. Bed wasn't bad, a little firm for my taste, but I didn't wake up sore, so I'm taking the win there. The desk chairs were not good. Sat in them while catching up on some paperwork, needed to steal a pillow to sit on or it was killing my tail bone. Breakfast was juice, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs and a waffle iron. It was ok, have had much worse. Stayed here twice over the weekend, and would recommend.
