Hampton Inn Asheboro

This is a, no thrills mid range Hilton, witch understandably as it is not near any major cities but has a great proximity to the NC Zoo. The pool was a nice addition and a plus, since I have young kids. The staff was extremely courteous and went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. My biggest issue was with how hard/loud the rooms doors close. This is in reference to staying in 6 to 10 hotels a month.

The room we were given smelled like cat pee. Asked to move rooms and was told they are a pet friendly hotel so rooms may smell like animals- we had no animals with us. Breakfast was not monitored by staff- unclean, no milk, people were touching food without utensils. Needless to say didn’t eat there nor will we ever stay there again. Was in town for a soccer tournament so location was good but will never book again.

The facility was clean and well maintained. The check-in was quick and efficient. We had an accessible room that provided a safe shower with good handrails. Amenities were minimal but that is not a dealbreaker. ||Breakfast was standard fair and well prepared. I would recommend this inn.

Positive: Nothing Negative: TV didn't work, Internet didn't workonly had two sets of towels for two night we were staying there, we were promised they would bring more towels and change the sheets they did not the fitted bottom sheet did not fit the bed

We have been staying here when we go to the zoo since the early 2000’s. I’ll start with the positives. The staff was great! Always friendly. Location to the zoo is perfect with lots of restaurants around for dinner and the like. That’s about it for the good side I’m afraid. Keeping in mind we haven’t been back in a while but we decided to take a spur of the moment trip to the zoo for a couples weekend. When we got into our room it was obvious no one had been in the room for a while. The ac was off and it had a stagnant smell. There was a big spot above the shower where there had been a leak and the patch that was done just looked soggy and gross. The drain in the shower was all rusty. There was an old toothpaste cap down in the sink drain because there was no drain plug in the sink at al
