Grande Ronde Cow Camp Bed and Breakfast

We discovered a cozy gem in the Blue Mountains of Eastern Oregon. Located approx 60 miles (about 1 hour) east of Pendleton is the Grande Ronde Cow Camp B&B. A beautiful log home in a comfortable setting in a little valley along the winding Grande Ronde River. Our hosts, Jeanne and John instantly made us feel like family! One of the highlights was enjoying Jeanne's big country breakfasts while listening to her great stories about their life experiences as longtime ranchers in the area! We also enjoyed walking the grounds and visiting the horses (note: if you're traveling with horses, they are welcome too!). If we have occasion to be in Eastern Oregon again, we'll definitely plan to stay here again as our visit this time was far too short!

We had an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing weekend at Cow Camp Bed and Breakfast. Our hosts Jeanne and John were great, and the accommodations although rustic were comfortable and a feel of the real West. When you find out that Jeanne was a fifth generation rancher from the remote southeastern corner of Oregon, you realize you are among old-time rancher royalty, real true grit down-home folks. It is no surprise that Jeannie and John picked Cow Camp for their bed and breakfast. It is 20 miles from the nearest Starbucks, and dead center of some of the most rugged and remote country to be found in the lower 48. On our back country drive we ventured into the mountains on amazingly decent roads to visit Anthony Lake (a 7000' lake at the top of the world) and we were treated to a mother deer nurs

We chose the Grande Round Cow Camp as the location for a surprise birthday party for our 80 year old sister. 7 siblings plus 4 spouse descended on the Cow Camp Friday afternoon around 3. My brother and I drove thru Pendleton where the temperature was 107. We were delight to find Jeanne and John's Bed and Breakfast nice and cool and large enough to easily accommodate our family. If you like rustic but with a touch of glamp. away from the hustle and bustle, you'll find it here. You can use an out house if you are so inclined or the pleasant modern accommodations. The B&B was the right place for us. The food was 5 forks for a hardy breakfast and 5 stars for atmosphere and comfort. The Bennet's are great hosts.

Peaceful, beautiful overnight stay in a sweet log cabin whose hostess, Jeanne pays special attention to small details. We had smiles on our faces as we drove onto the property where Jeanne greeeted us along with her two dogs, a horse and a miniature horse. It was a picturesque ||Scene. This is a terrific place for a large family because the cabin is set up to sleep at least 7 people.

Our family is a little scattered so last Dec. 2008 we found this place centraly located for all to attend. It was such fun that in Nov. 2009 we did it again.||My husband, I, our 4 kids, spouse's, 9 of our 10 grandchildren and my dad all spent 3 wonderful days at the Grande Rounde Cow Camp Bed and Breakfast. We just took over we did all our cooking, ate together, played together and above all we prayed together.||||We had such a great time the first year we thought well the second year will be nice but probably not as good as the first!!!! We were wrong, it was even better.||||The rates are great, the facilities are fantastic and Jeannie and John are wonderful host.||We never felt one bit out of place or in the way, they made us feel like we were part of thier family and we think of them
