Greenwell Motel

This is old motel and not the Hilton, so I base my rating on value for the price.. Best bargain in the area, with a very small fee for our dog. Plenty of coffee, tea and cocoa pods for the Keurig and even popcorn. Comfortable bed. Bathroom was old and showed its many repairs, but it was a bargain compared to other nearby hotels. It was also in a quiet neighborhood

This is the best kept secret in La Grande. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it has a microwave, tv with lots of channels, keurig coffee pot, good size refrigerator, walk in shower, good beds and IT IS CLEAN. It is reasonable for a place to stay the night not gouge you for a bed. There is no breakfast but there are places you can get a better breakfast than the powered eggs and toast you pay a lot for at the higher priced motels. Give it a try.

I absolutely loved the ambience. It felt like going to Grandmas house. The rooms were clean the beds and pillows were so soft and comfy. I would definitely stay here again

Positive: Warm, down home, nostalgic feel to this vintage hotel. Check in was simple and the clerk was friendly. Bed was comfortable and towels and bath mat were new and quite plush. They don't allow late check outs, but were OK with me running 15 minutes late. Negative: Could use a floor lamp in addition to the desk and reading lamps. Carpet looked like it had seen better days and floors were seriously creaky.

I’ve stayed at the Greenwell Motel twice now with pets and each time we have received excellent customer service and clean, vintage inspired rooms. The motel is conveniently located near downtown and feels very safe. The rooms are clean and the owner is a delight to chat with. We will definitely stay here in the future!
