The Landing Hotel and Dining

We arrived in the evening after a drive from Seattle, and I believe it was one of the friendly bartenders who noticed we were a bit dazed, lost and confused as we walked in (we are from Bermuda). She walked us through how to get in and was very pleasant. The room was exactly what we wanted, historic feeling but very neat and clean, nicely decorated as well. Had a late dinner and a couple pints at a local pub that was only a (cold) five minute walk from the hotel! Straightforward check-in and check-out process, and as a medium sized business owner myself, this is clearly a well run establishment for the customer.

The Landing is a very nice small hotel. We stopped into the bar for a quick drink before going out for dinner and decided to stay at the Landing. The drinks, dinner, and service were excellent. The room is well appointed and spacious. Highly recommended.

Nicely decorated. AC in window unit didn’t get room cool until 2:38am. TV didn’t work to connect with Netflix so we used our laptop. Heard trains over the sound of the window AC unit No fresh milk for coffee - just pods of chemicals disguised as “cream” Odd to enter and leave through the back through the kitchen. Restaurant closed Sunday-Tuesday. Not a great stay, especially for $211/night. Highlight was warm welcome, conversation and dinner recommendations from young woman when we arrived. She’s a keeper! Dinner at Side A Brewery was excellent. Coffee and ambiance across the street at Local was wonderful

This adorable hotel was the perfect stay! I would 10/10 recommend staying here again. We needed a place close to our friend’s house & this hotel was within walking distance. The charm of this boutique hotel is what makes it so unique. It was easy to check in & the staff was super friendly/accommodating. The rooms were adorable & it had everything we needed! It felt like we were staying at a friend’s house but with privacy. We didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant, but definitely want to if we visit again. There is also a cute coffee shop called The Local across the street that has ice cream, coffee, and delicious breakfast sandwiches. If you’re looking for an aesthetic place to stay in La Grande, you have to check out The Landing!

Our stay here was absolutely amazing!! The hotel itself was welcoming and cozy. I definitely would recommend this place to friends and family. Bobbie welcomed us and even offered us a glass of wine since the restaurant was not open the day we arrived. Thanks again for the wonderful experience.❤️
