Yes this place has bad reviews. This is not the Ritz, it's a small resort in Maine! After reading the reviews, I wasn't looking forward to staying here. To be honest, the place isn't that bad. We found the rooms clean and if we needed anything the staff were very happy to help (extra towels and pillows). |The location is great, the trolley stops right outside and it's a short walk to the beach. The kids loved the pool. It's a lovely laid back place. Yes the beds could be more comfortable, but this is under new management and slowly updating things. |The best thing is Beach Vibes Bistro, the breakfast was the best. Fresh food. Sherrie and her team run this place fantastically and the cocktails are also very good.

The terrible experience started at the front desk as there was one gentleman working at the counter and 5 individual parties inline. The one employee was inefficient and did little to speed up the process as he gossiped about nothing to the persons standing at the counter. Two of the parties in line walked out. I had no choice but to wait as I pre-paid for the room. If the rest of the stay was acceptable, then the check-in process would most likely have been forgotten. I was in room 216, which is one floor above the parking area and first floor rooms and there was a 3rd floor too. The property had an internal staircase from the parking lot to the upper floors. The second-floor stairs ran along an outside wall of my room 216 and the stairs to the third floor ran along another wall of m

Parking is hell. No assigned spots and if someone has a big truck or doesn't park straight, you won't be fitting in the spot next to them. Room was okay but the bed squeaked anytime you moved in it. Blinds didn't go down all the way, always leaving light in it. Door leading from outside into the stairway never closed all the way. The shower was a joke. May as well just ran a garden hose on yourself as there was no water pressure and the hottest it got was arguably not even warm. With all the other options on the strip, I'll never come back just because of the horrendous parking situation. Bring ear plugs because everything in the building can be heard. If you have kids near your room who decide to run around in the hallways at 7am, you'll hear them.

Positive: "" Negative: Hotel is NOT beachfront, broken coffee pot and was told they didnt have anymore. Pool was not heated only 70. Was well lighted at night but no black out curtians for sleep

This place is underrated. The employees here are all very nice and welcoming, they all are from different places in the world. They do a great job keeping things clean and being helpful. Pool on site, restaurant on site that serves 3 meals and it's a 5 star, across the street from beach and the trolley comes every hour to bring you back and forth from the Pier area.
