The location is secure and great for visitors, I stayed here twice and loved it. Central to the downtown area with lots of activities to do if traveling with a child. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and I was stoked to finally get to stay here. If dining in, the wings are really good and the snack bar is top tier.

The Hotel absolutely looks like the picture. I enjoyed my stay. The hotel concierge staff was absolutely amazing. The location was in 5 minute distance from where I was going. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because of the customer service received at the bar. We stood there for about 5 minutes. We weren’t greeted. So we went to establish where we would be seated, and then came back, at a second attempt to place an order. After several different conversations with several different people the waitress came and greeted us. It wasn’t welcoming nor inviting. We ended up spending 65 dollars on watered down drinks. So while the hotel was great… the Trophy Room Bar staff could use a course on customer service.

I have stayed here several times the past year, but this time my room and bathroom was not as clean as it used to be. The bedding from the pillows down to the bed skirt was beyond wrinkled. The water. pressure is also low,. The weather is cold in Columbia and there is no heat on in the restaurant and lobby including the hallways which is not accommodating to a hotel guest. They allow students to come and study in their restaurant with one student at each table so the hotel guests have nowhere to sit together. It’s obviously declining. The management, including the restaurant/bar is completely lax. You need to get up and order your own food and drinks . When you speak to the front desk you really don’t get a professional response. Granted this hotel is cozy, but this is a Hilton hotel

Mostly a good experience. Good location, service is slow but gets it right eventually without a bad attitude so "alrighty then...". I was Not Happy I had to wait until 6 AM to get coffee, and even less happy that I had to pay for it. There isn't a Hilton I've stayed in yet, not even in greedy stingy south Florida/NYC, that has charged me for coffee OR made me wait until 6 AM for it. That was the worst thing I went through here. It really is a pretty hotel, I loved the decorum, and the feeling that I was in an elite environment with all the stuck-up students all around me added to the self-satisfaction that I was in one of the best environments around. I would stay here again with a coffee plan of my own.

I thought this hotel was SO cute and cozy. I arrived earlier then check in time due to my flight, about 10:30am. Was pleasantly surprised by the great lounge and cafe/bar area I could sit and work in, plus they had lots of outdoor seating. Coffee and food were good and the staff were all very kind. It was nice that the local students studied here too, definitely a lively space. This was my first time in SC and it left a great impression on me. As for the rooms, they were quirky and cute, bed was comfy, and nice toiletries in bathroom. Bad / small gym here (fyi for the folks who would like to work out at the hotel). Overall would love to return here!
