Governor's Inn & Restaurant

Really great experience at The Governor's Inn! This is NOT a new properly, so don't expect brand new furnishings. But, it was charming and fun, very unique. The grounds include 2 separate 'mansions' that were converted into hotel rooms. We stayed in the 3rd floor 'King' room and it was great. Private. The 'Garage' is a separate Restaurant/Bar that has live music on Th, Fr, Sa. It was a nice surprise. The main-bldg restaurant was also nice and the Continental Breakfast (cold, not 'hot foods') was perfectly adequate. The grounds were very cool and the Staff were exceptional. Highly recommend, and would stay again

This is a delightful restoration of an amazing structure with great AMERICAN HISTORY. Anthony and Herman - the brothers who own it take great pride in the property, the services and the staff who are all CAN DO, happy folks and a joy to be around. I was there for 4 days over Thanksgiving and was made to feel right at home. It was 30ish outside but warm as toast inside. My sister now lives in Rochester SO I WILL BE BACK!

This place is lovely! If I have to be away from home, I want to be here. Even though the restaurant wasn't open today Sue made me the best salad so I could stay in and rest after my trip. Everyone is friendly. The rooms are clean and well kept. The history of this beautiful mansion just adds to the atmosphere. I will be coming back without a doubt.

It might have just been our room on the third floor but the nightly rate was too high for an incredibly outdated room; the bathroom, the furniture, and the green rug are screaming for an update, and the mattress was really uncomfortable. There were also no blankets just a sheet and a bedspread. I wouldn't stay there again.

Our wedding. My husband and I had a small wedding ceremony at the Gazebo and reception for 25 guests at the Governors Inn recently. From the very start they were attentive to all my requests. We planned a custom menu with 3 dinner choices. Salmon, Tortellini with Chicken and 16oz Ribeye. The also accommodated a vegetarian dish for one of my guests and Chicken Fingers for the kids attending. The food was delicious and the st e aks cooked to perfection. The service and staff the day of my wedding was amazing. They were friendly professional and attentive. The grounds keeper set up the gazebo as requested and the grounds were neat and clean for our special day.
