Anchorage Inn of Rochester, NH

Roaches!! This place was crazy. The room was so gross, clearly hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Bugs, cobwebs, pee all over the bathroom. Crazy amount of Trash under the beds. Should literally be shut down. They know about the roach problem and there are no trash cans inside the rooms, only a giant one outside every room door. The bed was also broken. Stay far away from this place.

DO NOT STAY HERE! If you are on vacation or generally want a safe and clean place to stay do not book this hotel for any reason. They do not clean between guests. When we arrived the floor was filthy, covered in dirt, hair, and bugs. The glass nightstand top was covered in fingerprints and crumbs. There wasn't even proper bedding on the bed, just a top sheet and a thin blanket. We were one of the lucky ones who didn't have bugs in our bed, it seems. Still, we were so disgusted we didn't even want to stand in the shower or sit on the bed. We were also in a non-smoking room that reeked of cigarette smoke. Nearly every room was booked by long-term tenants who sat outside, some half dressed, smoking. I felt incredibly unsafe being there and did not even want to walk around the property. It was

Absolutely disgusting, I left within 30 minutes of check in. Cant believe you have to call just to enter into the building to see someone in the office even at 4pm, then they come unlock the door in their pajamas. There was literal feces on the underside of the toilet seat. I still feel like I have things crawling on me, and I never even sat or laid down. Later I learned this is one of multiple illicit substance riddled lodging places. Bottom Line: Do Not Stay Here. Don’t even chance it. The holiday inn 3 exits down is literally 300 times better for just a little bit more.

This place was overpriced for what you got. It was not clean and the maintenance was not good either. The heating system was not functioning properly and the the linens on the beds were not clean, we slept fully in our clothes

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming property! The pool area is lovely, with plenty of comfortable spots to relax both in front of your room and by the water as well as the cozy bonfire area. Our room was always spotless and very comfortable, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and there was always someone at the front office ready to help with anything we needed. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway close to the White Mountains and Maine. Highly recommend!
