Gold Strike Inn

This place is like home. Rooms are all huge and well kept. Plenty of spaces to do activities on all floors and very clean. The place is great for reunion and big gatherings. Our family has stayed here a few times and absolutely love it. The rooms are really nice and super comfortable. Ours even had a jacuzzi tub. ||There are a lot of common areas throughout the house, making it great if your whole group can stay here. ||The owners are also amazing and very accommodating. They even provide snacks, wine, and a continental breakfast. ||We can't wait to come back!

My friend and I stayed at this inn, and it was really wonderful. It looks like an old Victorian home but is completely modern inside. It was extremely clean and relaxing with only a few rooms spread out on each level intermixed with comfortable common areas. Our upper level king room was well-appointed with excellent quality linens, satellite TV with a DVR receiving all the premium movie stations, and a great view of the mountains and Cripple Creek. The inn sits on top of a hill with wrap around decks and unbelievable views. We saw more wild foxes than we could count, a few deer and a raccoon. The Cripple Creek donkeys even grazed on the property while we were there. The owners, Rodger & Ofelia, provided great hospitality and were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Continenta

We enjoyed two nights at the Gold Strike Inn. Although the house has an unusual configuration with lots of twists and turns, there is plenty of communal space and it is nicely decorated. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We were located in the bottom of the house --room #5 and #6 are there--and next time I will request an upper-level room. We enjoyed morning coffees on the deck and nighttime cocktails there as well, looking out over the mountains and down to the town.||The house is in easy walking distance of the main street and we walked there each time we went. We liked the walk home up the hill even if it is a little strenuous. You can also take a shuttle.||Roger and Ophelia were very helpful and thoughtful. I have stayed in all of the hotels here and most of the B&B's, but after this trip I will only stay at the Gold Strike! The owners make you feel right at home and the house is immaculate. They welcomed us with warm cookies and a tour of the home. The view from the house cannot be beat! If you want to get away from the action and take in a view of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, this place is for you! The casinos are a close walk and there are plenty of shuttles so need to drive.
