If you haven't camped at Rocky Mountain National Park, do it! The park is incredible by itself, and this campground is a great spot. Our RV was in the shop for repairs so we decided to do a tent camping trip. The campsites have nice level pads for tents, a sturdy picnic table, and ample space. Everything is clean and all the facilities worked well. Wildlife (deer) visited our site several times. No bears or mountain lions (fortunately). Be aware there are no showers, so I wouldn't plan too many days here, but hey, it's the wilderness, enjoy it!
This place is just good. I camped here with a couple of American friends for two nights in early June. Spacious campsites, not too vclose on one another and everybody seems to respect the quiet hours between 10 pm and 6 am. It was really quiet in general, which is what one wants when camping in a National Park. Restrooms are good/ What is best about this place is its location/setting. Wonderful views on the snow capped mountains and beautiful sunsets to see when you step on up the trail that partly runs next to the campground.
The campground itself is really nice. The location is great for the sadly little Rocky Mountain NP has to offer - it's right at the road to the extremely overcrowded/no chance to park almost anytime/nothing special Bear Lake. One ranger was so nice and helped us; others 's were normal and polite. One had absolutely nothing to do; he circled the campground in 10min intervals like some sort of prison guard until he made up something to pester you about. Seriously, there are national parks that desperately need rangers in the most precious areas, and here, there are so many rangers in a campground that some of them have nothing to do at all :(. In the end we left a couple of nights earlier and had a much better time in Utah and Idaho.
Camped here for a few days and I would definitely camp here again. Stayed in C loop for tents only. Some sites had no trees but some did for some privacy - they had a lot of bathrooms in this loop where you really had them a close walking distance no matter where your site was. The bathrooms are in great shape. So clean. No trash cans inside though just so you know. There is a rinse sink in the bathroom area.
Rv park was great. Beautiful location. So clean. Clean restrooms. No power or water at the sites. Perfect spot for visiting and enjoying Rocky Mountain National Park. Very very economical with my lifetime pass .
