Gateway Motel

Run, as far away from this place as you can. We were on vacation in St. Pete, and plans got screwed up, so we needed just a cheap place for one night. You get what you pay for, but for $80 plus a $10 key deposit ( which we didn't get back ) we didn't expect it to be as bad as it was. Bad is a huge understatement. As the pictures show, the room hasn't been cleaned in who knows how long, yes, that is blood splatter on the wall and mold in the shower, hair in the drain, the toilet was filthy, the bed linens didn't match at all, AND had weird stains, plus there wasn't a fitted sheet. There's a super stained chair, an ancient microwave, no smoke detector, clock, phone...the door didn't shut tight. DISCUSTING.....I don't recommend anyone go there. The office wasn't open we had to go to a room and knock. Not 5 minutes after we checked in the Woman who checked us in boyfriend came and knocked at our door and asked for a cigarette. The rooms were gross. There were dead bugs in every drawer and they had beg bugs. They avoided us because I stated to the man I want my money back and he offered me bleach. I told him I'm not staying here. Needless to say we didn't get out money back and left.

Avoid at all costs, you will be safer sleeping in a walmart parking lot. Pinellas County Sheriffs office are here all hours of the day and night.

No shower curtain, trash can, didn't even want to pull the covers back because the pillows were nasty enough to not want to see what else there was. The bathroom ceiling had a huge hole in the ceiling & you can't pay with a credit/debit card

I lived across the street from this hotel for 2 years just moved out of the home four months ago and this hotel is nothing but drugs & prostitution and not a good atmosphere for children or families either! The beds had bed bugs and I'm not sure that they ever got rid of them the curtains have mold on them! The Indian lady will rent to anyone and I mean anyone! You don't even need a driver's license or ID card to rent from her. The Sheriff's Department is there circling the parking lot every night it's just High crying there and very disgusting!
