Garner Hotel Longview South

This hotel is beautiful, best beds we’ve slept in a long time for an IHG, we been at this location 3x on the weekends, but I don’t understand why they serve the SAME BREAKFAST EVERY WEEKEND!! Eggs and turkey sausage” no waffles no pancakes for the kiddos My friend stayed here during the week and there was always options like biscuit and gravy and waffles. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE OR THE KITCHEN MANAGER NEEDS A TALKING TOO. I’m reaching out to corporate NOW.

Wall patch areas need to be painted. Closet rod not sturdy. No bag for my dirty clothes like are in every other hotel I have ever stayed at. Personnel were nice and helpful. Great Value

I booked on the App, the front desk said they didn’t have access to IHG. They tried to scam me by canceling my reservation and re-booking at the Hotel, probably at a higher rate. There is no water pressure, the Laundry center has been broken for 6 months and they don’t care. Front desk said they quit stocking laundry soap a while ago. The room was okay. My AC was like a swamp cooler, wet and humid all night. The whole hotel smells like weed. Drunk people everywhere, loud noise and mayhem |Up and down my hallway. I thought |IHG had standards… this place is more like a Super8. Disgusting. I’ve been an IHG member since ‘03, I’m |Thinking maybe I should ditch IHG for good.This is about the 3rd or 4th|Property that has horrified me.

Positive: Price and location were great for our needs. Negative: No cups in the room or ice bucket. You had to pick them up downstairs.

The rooms were great- clean with comfy beds, the location was pretty convenient right off the loop. What stood out for me and my family of 10 and 4 dogs was the service of the weekend chef Christine. She did a wonderful job getting a hot and tasty breakfast out with eggs with salsa and cheese, sausage, oatmeal with a ton of toppings, breads/croissants/English muffins, cereals, milks, fruits and juices and coffee, but she, herself was what made all the difference to us. She was so attentive, making sure we were all taken care of, she was friendly and incredibly kind. She made our entire stay so much better and we hope to see her every time we come back! Thank you Christine for your amazing service, kindness and smile!
