Courtyard by Marriott Longview North

The room was nice enough, bed comfortable but the walls are really thin. If running water sounds bother you find another place or get a room on the top floor. Every time the upstairs toilet flushed or they showered I heard the water running behind my head. And it ran for quite some time. Fortunately I play rain sounds at night but during the day it sounded like a fountain running and then large swooshes of water. I've never in any hotel room heard so much water noise through the walls and having the head of the bed against that wall was worse. Also peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and the shower has no door and not a lot of water from the shower head. In the summer it might be pleasant but in winter expect your body to be cold while you shower. The water faucet handle I'm sur

Check in was easy and friendly. Room was super clean and furnished nicely. Bathroom was very clean (shower was a little bit scuffed but not dirty). The bed and pillows were so comfy. My biggest issue was the noise. I could hear flushing, running water, and doors slamming all night and I did not get a good nights sleep so I am not sure if I could stay here again due to this issue unless they do some soundproofing.

We picked this hotel because of the bistro and bar. We figured after a long day it would be great to kick back and relax. When we checked in, we were told that the bistro would be slow because they were short staffed. We try to be understanding so we decided to go down for a drink and not add stress by ordering food. The bar tender was rude and inexperienced. Unprofessional. We stood there for 10 minutes and were just scolded for looking at a drink mix directions book (thinking it was a menu). We just left. The guy at the front desk was nice enough and professional at least. The rooms are nice and clean but if the people around you get up at 4AM, you will too. Toilet flushes can be heard in your room and foot steps above you. Not up to par with most other courtyard hotels.

This hotel has the nicest staff and very attentive. The rooms were extremely clean, nice and the thermostat cooled/heated like it should. We had the AC on the first night and the heat the second due to big temp change while we were there. The bed was very comfortable. My daughter loved the gym and it’s amenities. Friendly staff, clean hotel and great amenities. We will definitely stay here again when we are in town.

I would feel weird giving it five stars as there was nothing that just knocked my socks off, however there's no reason to "only" give it four. I don't have anything negative to say. There was one or two missteps, but nothing I would call out as negative. The hotel was clean staff was friendly accommodations were more than adequate this will be my ONLY Marriott Hotel in Longview Texas area
