The manager was rude and the runs the place poorly. He first tried to double charge us for a room we reserved through booking. Then he suddenly "found" our reservation but didn't have the room we booked and after all that threatened my wife and ultimately kicked us out for having a service dog we were told we could have

My friend has stayed here often and is his go to place in Garden CIty. I booked on line, but when I checked in they said I should have called directly to get a better rate. Booking online comes at a premium to the hotel. Since it is a family owned and operated hotel, they will work with you. Which is why my friend was surprised at the rate I got. Nuff said as you read other reviews. Sure some items in the room were dated, but what do you want in this day and age for $70. It is clean, quiet and comfortable beds. The air conditioner/heater units are dated, cannot have just the fan on for white noise, must use heat or cool was the only problem we encountered. Remarkably dirty. Manager was very inflexible with room changes. The only way to get a room change was to do an unreimbursed cancelation and pay in full for a new room. Then under those circumstances he would take you down the halls of empty rooms to find a room that wasn't shockingly gross and moldy. Basically don't do a reservation here, staying here should be a last resort.

AVOID! We were there for 2 nights, the man behind the counter was rude! Got to the room and noticed black mold in the bathroom and in the heater vents. Dirt built up on the window, hair in the bathroom. Made coffee and there was something floating! Went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, there was a roach crawling on the floor, alive and well! The back door to the building does not lock, drunks and trash hang out back there. When we told the owner, manager, whatever he was, his response was " I know" Never ever again! This place has went to garbage! Oh and the pool does not work as advertised. Breakfast is bananas and cereal

This had everything we needed for a stop over on the way to Colorado. The owner was extremely accommodating with our late ish arrival time. The room was great, the sink was well lit and the tub was nice. Would stay again if we are passing through!
