Frostburg Inn

No on line reservations. You have to call them and hope on arrival they still have a room for you. Call before you leave just to make sure and do yourself a favor: have a Plan B. ||Parking is unorganized. I literally had inches on either side to maneuver when I left early in the morning after two trucks boxed me in. ||Room was clean but very worn. It had a strong musty smell I had to live with because the only window I could open, in the bathroom, was missing its crank-handle. ||No key drop box so I left the key in the room. I don’t remember if there were check out instructions. The office is not 24 hours. ||I understand they have been doing renovations. The bar did have a working pinball machine. The nearby 7-11 had hot coffee. ||It’s still expensive for what you get.

They were very generous helping us as we came in off the GAP totally soaked. Meaning, they helped us store filthy bikes and they ran a load of laundry for us. Terrific location, near lots of restaurants and GAP trailhead, and a comfortable and quiet room.

The room I paid for was not the room I got. My man and I ended up in a two bed room rather than a one. There was no deadbolt to the door. Which was concerning. The shower/tub had mud and what looked like blood dried on the sides and the shower curtain. The refrigerator was not on and had a terrible smell. There was one light in the entire room. It was a small lamp on the night table. However, The tavern/bar was nice, and the bartender was awesome. She did a great job all night, even once the place was packed.

Worst hotel ever. The room smells like feet and cigarettes. Dirty, broken beds, the closet is in the bathroom. Toilets won't flush. Dirty all over..the staff are liars, and they got mad and childish when my husband didn't need an extra week. They wouldn't give him back his dog deposit even tho the dog did nothing and she was a service dog. She also said they are no longer pet friendly because of him and also she accused him of having too many people over when he didn't and the room was like 10 feet from a bar!? she said hes never welcomed there again. Weird! She was always drunk also.

Stephanie, at the Frostburg Inn, went out of her way to get me checked in and settled. Thank you very much. The room was clean and simple, what you'd expect for the price. I was not disturbed in the slightest by the attached he'd bar. I slept right thru whatever was going on there. I recommend this Inn for any budget rider doing the GAP.
