Franklin Manor

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Franklin Manor the past two nights and wish I could have stayed longer! The history of this home is magnificently preserved and immaculate and at the same time a warm and inviting home to stay in the heart of the Adirondacks. It is an absolute pleasure all by itself for a visit to Saranac Lake. The owner, Rob gave us the fascinating history of the home and also some great advice on the best paddles, hikes and restaurants all abundant nearby. It's hard to even decide what adventure to pick with the abundance of options easily accessible from this location. Stayed at Franklin Manor for almost a week in the summer, and I can't recommend this B&B highly enough. The proprietors provided top-notch hospitality, with the daily breakfast the highlight of our stay — consistently delicious, and made from scratch with local ingredients! Our suite was well-appointed, with a spacious sun room and plenty of space. The Wi-Fi worked consistently across the entire property, even supporting Zoom calls and streaming video. Franklin Manor's location is great: walking distance from downtown Saranac Lake, a quick drive away from hiking trails and all the attractions of Lake Placid.

I’m not one to leave reviews, but Franklin Manor was a beautiful stay along with Carly and Rob’s welcoming hospitality. They were very accommodating and warm, even making a vegetarian breakfast special for one of our friends. Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time! Would highly recommend for anyone passing through!

We stayed 3 nights at Franklin Manor in the St. Gertrude room. The proprietors are lovely, personable, responsive, and fix a great breakfast. The bed was comfortable, the room was very roomy with an enclosed sun porch so it was well lit with natural light. The bathroom for the room is 8 feet down the hall but private as the room is in the back of the house. The manor is lovely and we spent a couple evenings sitting on the spacious front porch watching the sun set. It is an easy walk to the main street in Saranac Lake and to Lake Flower. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Franklin Manor, the loveliest bed & breakfast last weekend, while in town for the UCI World Cup races in Lake Placid. The manor is as beautiful inside as it is outside! With a spacious living area, dining room, library and a parlor, there is ample space to enjoy at your leisure, all decorated just perfectly! Not to mention a deck that wraps 2 sides of the house with plenty of Adirondack rocking chairs to appreciate a sunrise or simply the outdoors. The manor is quiet, warm and inviting for all guests. The rooms are very comfortable as well, we absolutely loved ours, the Saint Joseph. The hospitality was top notch!
