Four Points by Sheraton Ventura Harbor Resort

We stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Ventura Harbor and are giving this hotel 3 stars, primarily due to a major housekeeping failure during our visit.||Our room was not cleaned a single time for the entire stay. On the first day, we noticed and placed the housekeeping service tag on our door. On the second day, no one came. We ultimately had to call the front desk three separate times to report and try to resolve the issue.||In the end, housekeeping only delivered fresh towels and picked up the dirty ones. Our beds were never made, sheets were never changed, the room was not vacuumed, and trash was not taken out. Positive: Room was very clean. Check out time at Noon, rather than 11. Beds were extremely comfortable. In fact, we almost slept through check out time. Negative: Additional charge for parking and original booking was for a roll in shower and room available was a walk in shower.

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed bugs in the bathroom, specifically in the corners in front of and behind the toilet. Furthermore, there were hairballs and clusters of dust near the A/C unit and in the sliding glass door and sill. This level of cleanliness is unacceptable. On the morning of Saturday, January 10th, as we were leaving, I spoke with a staff member and another clerk (regrettably, I did not obtain their names) and showed them pictures of the issues in our room. This hotel was okay. The location is the best part; it looks like they did significant remodeling of the lobby and guest rooms, which was nice, but our room looked like it needed some help still. The bathroom layout was weird, which a huge room for the tub/shower and toilet. Some of the bathroom fixtures looked like they needed to be replaced. The grounds were also not in the best condition, but not bad either. The proximity to the harbor makes up for some of it.
