Fort Davis Drug Store Hotel

Imagine, strolling through a remote western town, a town nestled in a quaint mountain valley. That town, is Ft. Davis Texas. Our visit included hiking the rolling hills and vistas found at Ft. Davis State Park and later touring the McDonald Observatory. This is where Nature meets Science. And, while strolling State Street in Ft. Davis, an intriguing rustic sign to the Fort Davis Drug Store was noticed….

The whole building is for sale. I only got an email with ny invoice. Never received the code to get in, when I called the number on the door ( which is in an alley way off the street) no one answered. When she did call back (20 minutes later) she said we'll it's not my fault and it's not her fault I didn't get the proper check in information and that I won't be able to get a refund. Well, news for her, I have all the proof and I best be getting my refund. Went next door to Harvard Hotel, a beautiful natured hotel, and staff was more than able to assist in getting my wife and I a room. Made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous wooded country feel. The Drug Store Hotel looks abandoned, bullet hole in the vacant store front, for sale signs everywhere. I will b

This place is super cute. It did smell a lil musty downstairs but the room was perfect. It was fun with the pool table, ping pong table and just the open area. Our bed was comfy and there was plenty of room to stretch out upstairs. I could see it being fun to go with a group and rent out all of the rooms.

DONT DO IT!! ! The building is for sale and the place looks cute yes.. but it was very dirty and the king bed sank down while sleeping!! Dust on everything, under the bed was never cleaned in months, the sheets were dirty .. I sent videos to the number on the door after I spoke earlier to have to get a code to get in. No reply. I complained to bringFido who I booked through.. they tried reaching the owner for 2 weeks , she never replied. I called again, she said she never got the compliant so I sent the videos again… now she said it’s been too long ( not been 2 weeks) and she will not refund. She claims never had compliants and her cleaning gal is perfect . Never book this especially cause non refundable even if its horrible like it was . Very sad !

The hotel is not maintained. The downstairs area smells like something died. There’s no staff because the drug store is closed & for sale. We arrived late and we stayed the night on Aug 18, 25 All of us were sick the next morning. Emailed the hotel but never heard back.No one else was staying at the hotel. Your reply to my review is dishonest. I emailed the support email twice & Carl’s email. You did not reply until I posted this review. There is no way you didn’t smelled that stench downstairs. Why didn’t you reply?
