Butterfield Inn

Spacious courtyard inn that is quaint and quiet and right in town in little Fort Davis. No traditional lobby (t was self-check in with text message contact) but everything was seamless. Also, it was pet-friendly (for reasonable nightly fee), which is always much appreciated!||I visit West Texas annually and usually stay in Marfa or Alpine (or camp in Big Bend), but stayed here for convenient location for visiting McDonald Observatory for one of its evening star parties (which I highly recommend) and nearby state park has some nice hiking.

Such a cute, clean, comfy place to stay in Fort Davis! If we ever travel there again, we will def book a longer stay at Butterfield Inn. We were on a cross country trip and were in awe with the scenery once we got off I-10 and then to walk into this wonderful cottage that felt like a boutique hotel but also home! Take the trip and stay here! You won’t regret it❣️

We had a great experience with our stay here! The employees were so kind and helpful! I accidentally forgot something in the room and they called to let me know and plan for me to get it back. We were able to walk to the stores and restaurants which was nice. It was quiet and quaint location! I highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely loved this place and will definitely return! The cottages and courtyard are idyllic and as soon as I opened the door to my cottage I wished I had booked another night in town. So cozy. Check in and check out via text communication was a breeze. The cleaning crew tried to enter at 10:30 and check out wasn’t until 11, but it was no big deal once they saw I was still there. The location is perfect.

We loved the little cottage we stayed in. It was clean and cozy. The beds were incredibly comfortable with wonderful linens. Everything worked great and we had no issues. We will definitely stay here again when we come back!!
