Fogcatcher Inn

We have been staying at the FogCatcher for 25 years now. It is cozy with nice rooms (I think they all have fireplaces), a nice lounge where tea and coffee are available and classy fire pits (plus pool). The location couldn't be better. You cross the street and have Moonstone beach, the boardwalk and 2 great restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel. A few things that have changed over the years; you must now request room service and there is no more complimentary breakfast (miss the waffles) but they serve fresh coffee and tea with fruit in the lounge and have a restaurant near by that will deliver breakfast.

The Fog Catcher Inn is a gem! It's charming, very clean and has several nice touches such as goodie bags for your pets! The location is amazing being right off the coast. The ocean views are great and the boardwalk to walk your dogs is treat for both you and your dogs! The price is very reasonable and allows us multiple vacations throughout the year.

This is our favorite place to stay on the central coast. Across the street is the beach and boardwalk. The hotel is very comfortable. It no longer serves breakfast, which is disappointing, but they have tea and coffee available. The fire pits are nice and so is the jacuzzi. The rooms have fireplaces and feel cozy. You now have to ask for room service the day before. I feel that some of the extra perks they had when we first started coming are gone, but it is still incredibly nice and I highly recommend it.

Positive: it's proximity to the beach and boardwalk Negative: They charged $5.00 for an 8oz bottle of water. I poured the bottled water in the coffee maker for a cup of tea and had to toss the bottled water since the water came out dirty. They refused to refund. Most places give complimentary bottles. Not here.

The staff is amazing! The General Manager offered us a free room upgrade and made our trip special. Our room was super comfortable, clean and just steps from the ocean. We enjoyed the Starbucks coffee, the window nook area for reading, the fireplace, comfortable bed, and the location. We love this hotel! Highly recommend.
