Flamingo Motel

I stayed in the Flamingo on a road trip from Seattle to the midwest. My experience was perfect. The owner/operator talked with me for a bit and was very kind and interested to hear about my travels. I have a very fond place in my heart for Coeur d'Alene in no small part because of my experience here. The room I stayed in had one of the 25cent magic fingers bed vibration contraptions that I'd seen in the movies and I couldn't resist plopping in a quarter. Not my cup of tea, but hilarious none-the-less.

Love the Flamingo Hotel! Five stars all around - great location only blocks from the (er, sorry) heart of Coeur D'Alene. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable themed rooms (we had the Victorian), and with personalized room parking!||We'll definitely be back whenever we're back in CDA. Thanks Flamingo team...keep up the great work!

I must be honest, the only thing this place has going for it, is the location; which was great. What surprises me is the cost of a night here, that alone should warrant a rejuvenation of the motel. The rooms could be brightened, cleaned, carpets removed, new modern furniture added. I booked here because the reviews were really good, better than some of the other hotels in the area. The part that was really hard to get over was the overwhelming musty smell in the room. This could be a really great place, but it needs some new modern touches. I can't even say that the cleanliness was on par because I was plugging in my phone and behind the nightstand was someone else's old vitamins.. In order to change the bedding, your line of sight would have seen that behind the bed stand. Who knows.. It

I love finding independently owned motels across the country. Not your sterile, generic run of the mill hotels, with no one who cares about your stay. Affordably priced, and dog friendly! I also love how you can pull your car right up to your door, especially when you have a luggage carrier and bike racks on your car. It's really nicely designed with cute chairs in front. I highly recommend!

I wanted to love it more that I did. The location was great. The room decor was very cute and the beds were comfortable. However, I couldn't get over the very musty smell.
