We had the most incredible experience at the Fairmont Pittsburgh, and I cannot say enough good things about the staff, especially Hannah A. From the very beginning, Hannah was responsive, friendly, and genuinely caring. She truly went above and beyond for our wedding weekend. When I walked into our room and saw everything she had set up for our boys, including snacks and Avengers surprises, I actually cried. It was so thoughtful and sweet. They were in heaven, and it made the whole weekend even more special for our family. From start to finish, every staff member we encountered was outstanding. We chose this property for a Valentine’s Day weekend getaway and, unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. The highlight of our stay was the spa. The staff there were welcoming, professional, and provided excellent service. We truly appreciated their attentiveness and hospitality. Our experience at the bar, however, was less positive. The service felt indifferent, and we did not feel particularly welcomed. While we understand the hotel serves a high-end clientele, hospitality should feel inclusive to all guests. The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the lack of transparency regarding fees. Great hotel, so conveniently located in the cultural district. Walking distance to many things of interest like the river and the Warhol museum. I stayed in nov and dec and was lucky to have a ringside seat for the Veterans Day parade.||Room was well equipped, especially the bathroom, and had a great view over the city. A little oasis of calm. Bar and restaurant serving great cocktails and food. Gym well equipped. Friendly staff.

Currently have a billing dispute, as I was charged an extra 50 dollars for not ordering breakfast at the FL2 after making a reservation. Did show up for what was billed as a New Year's Day brunch, but by the time we were seated (11 am), the menu offered lunch only. Informed the waiter we were not interested in ordering lunch, and she said that was OK. Apparently, however, was charged anyway. Also learned that there is NO difference between a standard and deluxe Mt. Washington view King Room, as I paid extra for an upgrade to Deluxe, but really just got a standard on a higher floor. I know these types of rooms well as I have stayed at the Fairmont many times over the past 15 years.

We had a great stay at the end of a long trip. The location was perfect being close to both of our appointments downtown. There are also a lot of good restaurants close by. There was some work being done on remodeling the guest accommodations, but always cleared up by the evenings. We will look forward to staying in the new accommodations in the future. We also had to stay an extra day due to weather, and the Fairmont was very accommodating and helping us accomplish that.
