Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Wichita East

Decent spot for a quick overnight stay. The room was clean, though it had a stale odor, and the front desk experience wasn’t very welcoming. On the plus side, breakfast offered plenty of options and the gym was nice.

I’m not one to complain or even leave reviews but there are a few issues at this place that need to be addressed. Our room was nice and comfortable but the toilet was extremely loose and felt like it was going to tip over. Also the shower faucet was loose. The pool smelled moldy. In the morning on 01/04 when we were checking out the front desk manager was wearing headphones which was extremely unprofessional.

Bed bugs and negative customer service.||Please see below for the timeline of events and responses from the hotel/Marriott corporate.||November 2: I stayed overnight at their hotel.||November 3: Upon waking, I immediately noticed numerous bites on my arms, hands, face, and back. I had not left the room prior to discovering them, confirming the bites occurred overnight. I called the hotel at 5:11 PM to report the issue. The front desk attendant confirmed there had been other reports of bed bugs. He advised that the manager would call me the next morning.||November 3: Upon returning home, I immediately discarded all my clothing, suitcase, and toiletry bag to prevent contamination in my house.||November 4: Having received no call from the manager, I followed up with the hotel. I was informed

Positive: Loved the pool set up. Negative: The lady working the counter Friday morning has a very loud voice, and used bad language a couple of times. She asked a customer to call back to make reservations due to her computer being down. I'd have taken her info & called her back.

Room was nice. Staff was okay very lack luster. Pool was poorly balanced. Didnt bring my test kit on vacation but all the kids ended up getting really bad rashes from being dry
