Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Shawnee

Passing through to celebrate a good friends birthday I get to the hotel. The customer service rep very rude. Didn’t acknowledge that I was standing there didn’t say hello. How are you doing? Good evening did not recognize my status. I did not receive my Hotel gift as a gold elite member. She had no smile. No swan that she wanted to be at work. The hotel. Very nice location. very clean good parking. The room is very clean, but the TVs do not work. The TVs had two remotes. I wasn’t notified that you had to use one to turn it on and use the volume and another one to change the tech channel. The hotel is a very good place to go and sleep, but to go and rest and relax for a couple of days in a nice room with good service. This is not the hotel for you.

Stopped in for the night after some long days on the road, the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The location is great if you are traveling the i40, close to the interstate and good food options. The breakfast was much better than most hotels within the same price range. I'd definitely stay here again..

Positive: Convenience, location, comfortable bed Negative: Breakfast, our bathroom door wouldn't shut and latch, the chair was full of crumbs, the room was so hot when entering and it took hours to cool down.

BEST STAY IN YEARS. See pics. .. First, SHOUT-OUT TO JENNIFER, who was pulling double duty and always helpful and smiling whether at the desk or breakfast area. Wish we could clone her for other busineses. .. Very comfortable bed and CLEAN, a quiet stay. BREAKFAST IS AMAZING, even on weekdays. Organic. Cage-free Eggs. Hot foods. Variety. Oatmeal w/ many healthy toppings, including Walnuts. Wow. Great coffee. ROOM: Tall ceiling, spacious, added touches like decorative window screen, plastic cover on TV remote, GREAT shower plenty of hot water, towels and wall mount quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash. AND that comfy bed. .. Clean Everywhere, even the tops of mirrors and the treadmills and elevator (which is slow but hey). Absolutely, I will stay there again.

I would leave a -5 if I could. The man at the front desk is THE WORST at customer service! They purposely put my sister and I in the FARTHER rooms away from each other. I called the week before our arrival and I also called the day before the arrival to coordinate this request. We were told that it wouldn’t be a problem and that they could take care of us if we checked in early. We are here at 4pm when check in starts and they refused to accommodate the request. We’ve stayed here at this location before and I remember the same man being the most rude person I’ve ever experienced. I sat and watched 4 people check into rooms that were closer to my sister than I was and checked in 30 minutes after I checked in! Absolutely ridiculous when you pay for service and someone purposely does this.
