Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shawnee I-40 by IHG

Great accommodations. Everything worked. However, did need to request second bath towel. Reception actually presented welcome member bag without prompt. Breakfast was delightful and extensive. Again, all equipment worked and was in service. Very clean all around. Ice machine could be a little more conspicuous.

We recently moved to the area and stayed at every hotel while our home has been built. This is the nicest hotel in the area in our opinion and we stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The room was clean & comfortable. The rooms feel 'warm / musty' like one reviewer said because you have to turn on the air conditioner...it isn't on when you first walk in the room. After that, the room feels comfortable. The breakfast is good and Carla who handles the breakfast every morning is a gem of a person. She is like a cup of sunshine in the morning, we love her and will miss her!

I was on a long road trip and this was the nicest place I stayed at. Very nice room. The TV worked fine, had HBO channels, and a good channel guide. I slept like a baby. Air conditioner was working great in the 100 degree temperatures, not loud at all. The breakfast was just great. A nice variety of good food. The lady who staffed the breakfast needs recognition. On the morning of August 25th she was working hard to keep it clean and ready to eat.

Was in town for a visit to go to my tribal offices as I am Citizen Potawatomi. It has been awhile since I have been at the hotel. They had several upgrades since I was there last. The new carpet and inside the hallways were very nice. The staff were fantastic the entire trip and should be commended. Air conditioning worked well and the beds were very comfortable. It was a nice stay in the Shawnee area. I stayed here instead of our tribal hotel, Grand Casino, due to me being a high up IHG member. That was recognized with a great gift when I came in. Hospitality was good and I recommend staying here in the future. I put value at an average, 3 out of 5, due to the cost being way higher than anytime in the past, even with my government rate which was less than the normal rate. However,

Stayed in upgraded room. We were a few minutes late for breakfast and all the food including fruits and cold cereal were still laid out but the kitchen staff (with the manager watching) refused to let us grab cold breakfast items. Poor customer service, discourteous communication condoned by the management!!
