Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Sandusky

We stayed here for our daughter’s volleyball tournament and had a wonderful experience. For a quick tournament stay we so impressed by the level of service from the hotel staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and what stood out most was their honesty. My daughter accidentally left her AirPods in the room, and housekeeping found them and contacted us right away so we could get them back. We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness and professionalism of the entire team. Thank you for making our stay such a positive one!

Nice property, pool looks inviting, gym well stocked. Haven't had breakfast sadly. Room is comfy, but a bit dark even with all the lights on. Friendly staff at check in. Near several chain restaurants, and a few fun local places near by. Walmart is right behind the property if need anything.

I stayed here for 1 night in October 2025. This hotel definitely has a "new" feel to it. It was super clean. I had a standard room with plenty of space. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 starts is that the walls are paper thin. You will be able to hear your neighbors conversations through the wall at a normal volume. This Fairfield has by far the best gym I've ever encountered at a Fairfield. The breakfast buffet was also superior for a Fairfield with so many more options than I've encountered at previous Fairfields. The hotel is within walking distance of a few restaurants which was also nice.

The hotel was very clean. The front desk staff were delightful. I was given a document with info on several good restaurants in the area. I received a welcome gift. My room was very large with a small living room area. I liked that there was a fan in the bathroom and a safe in the closet. For the cons, it was kind of noisy with lots of slamming doors. There was someone in the room next to me that was very noisy. I was surprised that someone was put right next to me, since the hotel is large and there were very few cars in the parking lot. Spacing us out would have given the best possible experience. The toilet is very low and small - almost child-size - hard on the knees. The shower curtain liner had pink stains or pink mold ? on it. DO NOT GO HERE. when we went to pay for our room, they said the price would only be $180. When you pay with credit card, it doesn't show how much it will truly cost on the terminal. When we went to check the bill later, it was over $300. When we called support they were very rude and even hung up the phone on us. You are better off staying a the cheapest hotel nearby than deal with these scammers.
