Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Edmond

We were traveling through the area and I booked this hotel through the Marriott app based on location and price. The area around the hotel is very quiet and clean. Upon entering the hotel, there was an odor that was similar to wet, swampy. I’m assuming it was the swimming pool but it smelled bad. Check in was a breeze with no issues. The room was the standard hotel room but it was nice and cool when we walked in. The bed was great!!!! That’s is one huge factor for me. Bathroom was clean and the shower had fantastic pressure. Oh and the towels were soft. Not scratchy like I’ve experienced in some locations. The breakfast area is laid out weird and the food was either too dry or too runny. Not my favorite All in all, I would definitely stay at this location again.

My mom was having surgery at a nearby hospital. This hotel was recommended to her for her post-op one night stay. When I called to make the reservation, I spoke to a wonderful young woman named Tae. She was great! Tae was prompt, professional, personable, proficient, and polite!!! Tae listened to our needs and assured us that my mom would be well taken care of. We asked for an early check-in. While Tae was sure to inform us that she could not guarantee the early check-in, she stated that she would be there on the day and would do her best to accommodate my mom. On the day of my mother's procedure, my dad called the hotel prior to my mom being discharged from the hospital, see if the room would be ready when they got there. Booked a week in advance. Checked in at 5:00. Upgrades weren't available because they were "sold out." Back from dinner at 10:00, I checked the website and there were suites available. I asked the front desk about being "sold out" and he said that meant the rooms weren't available for upgrade, only for purchase. Just tell me you don't do upgrades. I've stayed here several times before, never an upgrade. Titanium, BTW, but upgrades should be available for all elites.||Also, no internet on the TV. Called about it and got the response of, "Yeah, we've been having an issue with our TVs." I recommend some of the cheaper Marriotts nearby.||BTW, I tried to leave this review on the Bonvoy app, but it would only let me read reviews, not leave one. I can understand why.

Rooms very spacious and clean. Service was good and they had a hot breakfast. Heated pool, laundry room, gym and patio with a BBQ grill. Location was great

We enjoyed this location. Clean, quiet, great channel selection and the AC worked 👍. The gentlemen managing the breakfast did an excellent job with cleanliness, presentaion and restocking. This will be our go to hotel in the future, when not traveling with our toy poodle.
