Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Columbia Northeast

We stayed one night in July. The staff was friendly and responsive for the few items that we needed, including an extra towel and room key. The continental breakfast was very good. The conditioner bottle hadn't been refilled in the bathroom, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The pool was clean and great for our kids after having been traveling all day. The lobby was very pretty. Would stay again.

Lobby attendant took 2 minutes to appear (at 6pm), from the back office. 4 of 5 ice machines did not work with our floors unit's electrical cords wrapped around the unit. Hot water took (not exaggerating) 5 minutes to come warm. Shower had mold all around the seams and towels were old and used. Elevator made noises and took forever to open. It was a Saturday night and some families decided it was a gathering spot to exploit the lobby and slam every door on our 4th floor. Area was not the best, dont turn right out of the parking lot and venture into the neighborhood behind the location.... multiple security solar camera's running 24/7 in the parking lot did make me feel secure (sarcasm).......

I stayed here with my family from 28 Oct to 31 Oct. service was great. Front desk staff was great and always willing to help and seemed to move with a purpose. We talked to a young man at the desk about our other half coming and he brought up putting us on joining rooms, I would have never thought of that. That made things so convenient for us. We had breakfast in the morning it was always open on time and Earl was always cleaning and keeping things stocked up and helpful to answer any questions. Rooms were clean and kept supplies available. I would most definitely stay here again. For the price it was worth it. And so many things close by but away from the noise of traffic

Positive: It was easy to locate. Negative: The phone did not work. The sheets were never changed. The first room they put us in, the bathroom floor was flooded. Fire alarm went off while we were sleeping and they blamed us for it. They finally admitted it was a different room but no apology

Staff at the registration desk were friendly and courteous...even got us a better rate for the room. Very accepting of our dog, and gave us a room on the main floor to facilitate potty breaks. Breakfast: supposed to be served starting at 6am but when we came to eat (at 6:20am) all the food was gone and there wasn't anyone in the dining area...so not sure what happened but disappointed that we missed out. Rooms: spacious and clean. The shower however looked like it had been installed by a first time DIYer. Showerdoor leaked all over the floor and the tile installer must have run out of tile and did the job with at least 3 different styles of mismatched tiles. Overall a good experience and this location served it's purpose, a clean place to sleep in a decent part of town. If passing thro
