Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bartlesville

Think twice about staying at this property!!!! I visited the area for a college tour for my son this past December and it was the worst experience ever staying at a hotel. My family and I arrived late in the evening after driving several hours from Texas. Shortly after going to bed, my wife woke up itching. When she turned on the light, we noticed bite marks on her neck, arm, and hand. At first, we assumed it may have been mosquitoes or ants. She attempted to return to sleep, but moments later she felt another bite and something crawling on her. When we inspected the bed more thoroughly, we discovered a bed bug crawling underneath the pillow—directly where our toddler had been laying. I immediately removed the pillow and killed the insect. Stayed one night with 2 grandchildren. Room had a very musty smell that never went away. Only one of the two elevators was operational and the other was not marked as out of order. I understand there can be break downs with any equipment but the working elevator had a sign posted saying to “push floor number 1 hard” in order for it to work. That in itself was a problem for many guests. One lady took the stairs after waiting quite some time with button not working and needed assistance on the stairs. Also the streaming capabilities of the tv were hit and miss. Some apps allowed for use of personal account login and others didn’t. The property was clean but it felt like maintenance was lacking. This was not my typical experience with a Marriott property and I was disappointed with the stay.

Positive: Exceptionally clean. Negative: Only one accessible outlet (not a double outlet, a single outlet). Having 5 items with me to keep charged & one outlet is rather inconvenient. I don't want to go digging behind furniture in a hotel room.

Be careful in the pool. We stayed there over the past weekend and both of my daughters are now breaking out one with ringworm the other one with we’re not sure yet and me myself got in the pool for about 10 minutes and I’m starting to get rashes all over Trying to reach out they seem to not care so maybe we’ll see where this gets me..

The queen suite, room 413, was spacious and clean, however, the door to the room was incredibly hard to open and my son got caught between the door and the door jamb when you couldn't push it open himself. Additionally, the closet door was extremely hard to open and close, causing me to pinch my fingers twice during our stay. The shower head sprayed water from where it connected to the pipe and I had to tighten it and clean up a large water mess. The toilet seat is very heavy wood and slams down hard unless you are very careful when putting it down causing water from the toilet to spray on the user. Breakfast the first day was sparse with not many options so we had to have breakfast elsewhere. The second day breakfast was great and the breakfast attendant was very helpful with ingredients
