Staff were incredibly kind and very patient. I was not able to sleep very well. I have EDS and MCAS, and for some reason I could not find a room that did not have a significant amount of vibration (which is a trigger for me). I stay at hotels a lot, and normally I just have to make sure I’m not near wherever the HVAC units are. In this case they were on the roof. But it didn’t seem to matter where I was. I appreciated the creativity and the patients. We didn’t end up finding a great solution, so I am in a lot of pain, but I know it’s not because people didn’t try. Normally, the hotels that I’ve stayed at you can turn the AC off fully and there’s no more vibration in the room. Here, the air compressor just kept going in each room. I’m not sure why that is, and I’m sure for most people. I
Great facility, very clean, new and attractive. Service was excellent. Night desk attendant Daniel could not have been more helpful seeing to our every need beginning with our late arrival and throughout our December 1-3rd stay.| He really made our stay special.
I appreciated the overall cleanliness and hospitality at this hotel. My room was well laid out when I arrived and remained comfortable throughout my stay. Parking was complimentary as well as breakfast although I must admit that meal options were limited. There also was an onsite fitness center with a good variety of equipment. I certainly would stay here again while visiting the area.
This was a great place to relax. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I was attending an event at the Classic Center and it was fairly close. I wasn't a fan of breakfast, but it was your typical free hotel offerings. I would stay here again!
My family and I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott in Athens, Georgia on Saturday, August 30th, and had a terrible experience. Around 2 AM, we woke up to find our air conditioning unit blowing heat. The wall unit would not shut off, and the room quickly reached close to 100°. I had to physically unplug it from the wall just to stop it. This wasn’t just inconvenient—it was unsafe. Myself, my father, and my children were in the room, all of us stuck in the heat. The maintenance worker, Sean, came up and was very apologetic, promising we would be compensated for the situation. Since then, I’ve spent five days trying to reach the manager, Adi, who is apparently always “in a meeting, at lunch, or out of the building.” Not once has she returned my calls. The lack of accountability and follow
