Extended Stay America Suites- Dayton - North

Positive: Only thing going for this hotel is price and location Negative: Mattress had springs poking through.I think maybe it has a lot of permanent residents. Not a real comforting place to stay.

I have truly hesitated writing this review. This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. FILTHY dirty; just plain disgusting. The smell of pot is so strong coming from rooms around us (it’s a non-smoking hotel, BTW), it literally made me nauseous! Had to wipe mouse droppings out of the drawers before we could unpack. The bathtub drain was so full of hair that we would be showering in water up to our shins (no exaggeration). Finally, on the third request, the maintenance guy came and cleared it some. There were only two positives to this place; Terry, the maintenance guy was trying hard. He was way overworked, having to take care of more than one property. Beware of cockroaches!!! This entire hotel is repulsive and disgusting!!! If zero stars were available, that’s the rating I would give it. It has an intense smoke smell from the second you walk in. We needed a last-minute, quick overnight stay in this area and chose this hotel based off of pictures which are nothing like what it really looks like in person. Unfortunately, the pickings are slim in this area, but I never would’ve expected such a dirty hotel. I understand that this is a budget hotel and my expectations were low, but I expect any place of business to be clean, especially a chain hotel. I’ve truly never seen anything so nasty! I’ve had to stay in several budget hotels before, but they were all clean!! We literally ended up staying here no more than an hour and left in a hurry w

They have older appliances in the rooms. The rooms are nice but the elevator was dirty. It needed to be swept out and wiped down,easy fix really. I think it's just lazy staff really. Oh! It's a stank 🫢 smell out in the hallway like sewage sometimes 🤢 :edit I made this review the day before I left. Which I made on a Friday. We had to get draino to unclog the tub ourselves because there was no one to do it for hours. And I wrote that before. Not sure what happened to it😒. The next morning (Sat) someone was walking in and we weren't dressed because I thought I paid for three days and had not. But instead of them calling up to the room (because the phone didn't work) we tried when we needed dishes earlier in the day. Very friendly and helpful staff. The grounds could use a little attention for cleaning up the room was clean, hot shower good water pressure. Being an extended, stay.The room had a lived in feeling.But for the price, and for one night, it was great
