Extended Stay America Suites- Columbia - West - Interstate-126

When I checked in and got to my room you could smell a musty smell mostly in the bathroom like water had been standing for a while. Roaches everywhere, I went to the store and picked up bug spray and sprayed myself. Refrigerator was filthy and I cleaned that also the best I could. Needed to stay another week but not there! So I got a motel room

Firstly, not sure who had the genius idea of building an extended stay next to a VERY noisy highway. I checkout out of here after 2 hours. First was like trying to sleep on the side of a highway. Secondly there was way too much smoking and sketchy activity here. Another red flag staff does not stay on site 24hrs, the office was closed after dark. There was a huge cockroach that crawled out of my air conditioner. The air conditioner kept going from hot to cold to hot. The noisiest and nastiest hotel i have ever been to felt more like a trap house. The health department should shut this nasty place down.

Positive: Leaving Negative: I was not aware the hotel was full on Saturday and it would have been best if I provided a room. I had been there a week and it would have been nice to know.

I would not recommend this hotel. Roaches in the room and much damage to the room. Safety latch was broken and door ajar when we initially got to our room. No shampoo or soap in room or a hairdryer like the booking said they provided. Spend 20.00 more and go to the Hyatt

While we weren't able to book a room because they had no availability for what I needed, I would like to commend the guy at the front desk named Anthony. He was super helpful helping us locate another extended stay hotel not too far away that had what we needed. He was an amazing and helpful guy and while we didnt get to stay there, I would recommend to someone based on how he treated us. Thanks again, Anthony!
