Extended Stay America Select Suites- Chicago - O'Hare

This is my first time choosing this hotel. The service is friendly, but the price is already too high compared to other hotels I've stayed in. The room is average, with a decent kitchenette, but tiles are falling apart and parts are falling apart. Dylan, like a gardenia, is averagely clean, and there's a slight odor at the entrance. And the bathroom feels unwashed; the towels are only for underfoot, even though they're still fresh, and the sink has two yellow ones, some kind of play, and is terribly worn. For me, it's maybe a 1-star hotel, definitely a plus with parking because it's large and well-lit. No breakfast, no gym, no swimming pool. First time staying at this property but have stayed at this hotel in other states and enjoyed everything about it. From the moment we entered the room on a Monday, we noticed there was smell of urine, it actually came from the bathroom. This was reported to the lobby staff and was told that housekeeping would take care of it either Friday or Saturday. On Wednesday, I asked what to do with the trash and was told to leave it outside of the door and someone would come to pick it up. Well, after two days of seeing the trash at the front door of our room, I brought it back inside our room only to find a letter stating that we were in violation of sanitary rules . What? Positive: Restaurants and stores near hotel. Negative: Amenities were not accurate on website. No kitchenware in room. It had to be purchased from front desk. No ice machine. The bathroom was so dirty we bought cleaner but still unable to use the shower. There was a bad smell in room and pay for clean towels.

Believe the reviews that say it's an unclean, smells like pot homeless shelter. Upon arrival, I had to reclean what housekeeping barely touched and they never came back to clean. The staff and manager (who isn't upfront on extra fees) are helpful they do TRY. And the 3rd floor spot was mostly quiet. But the con's of this dirty, depressing place far outweigh any pro's trust me.
