Estes Mountain Inn

Booked this place on a whim after deciding not to car camp for the night. The price was more than reasonable for a wonderful night stay. The staff were more than helpful with everything. There were so many complimentary treats all over, popcorn, coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, s’mores at night! The rooms were cozy and provided everything that was needed. The pool and hot tub were clean and provided a wonderful morning relaxation. The breakfast was great, I definitely recommend the egg bites. I would totally stay here again!

Positive: The location was beautiful and only 4 mins from the town center. Elk roamed everywhere! We loved the room! Negative: Breakfast could have been better.

When searching for a place to stay over the weekend, I chose this hotel based on its excellent price and positive reviews. It proved to be an outstanding choice. The staff at check-in were exceptionally friendly, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The property has the charm of a classic American motor lodge, reminiscent of the places I stayed as a child during family road trips. It is worth noting that this is an older establishment, so those seeking new or luxury upscale accommodations may wish to consider other options. However, for guests looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable stay, this hotel is an excellent choice. As an added bonus, they even offered s’mores by the fire on the Saturday evening of my visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

😊: Location was great, watched a male elk walk right past one morning at breakfast. Room was clean, housekeeping staff were great. Options for extra activities were great but can't review as we didn't try.. 😢: The tiny room was in fact tiny and tricky for 3 people to share with suitcases. There was no kettle in the room. Breakfast was a bit sparse and no alternative milk, all the plates and cutlery were plastic which felt very wasteful. Water pressure was low and the drain got blocked very easily and we ran out of hot water most nights after 3 showers..

The rooms had no heat. I had the family suite with 2 separate bedrooms. I had to call maintenance twice to come check the heater and he said “the building is 30 years old, and some of the rooms don’t have heat. They are holding off on fixing some things because they will be tearing the place down and rebuilding it soon” he then gave us some space heaters. The space heater kept blowing the electricity in one room. We knew this was no Hilton, but we wanted a cabin type feel up here, but we did not want to freeze. My kids were so COLD!!!! Absolutely unbelievable.
