Elevation Lodge

Positive: Friendly staff. Room was as expected. Close to shops. Negative: Room was clean overall but AC was barely working and full of dust. Still some har on sink from a previous guest shaving. Right on Lake Tahoe Boulevard which was a very busy street.

I stayed at this place after a long time and was impressed by the steps taken by new management. The rooms were clean and staff was accommodating and welcoming. Also atmosphere of the place is peaceful and quiet specially at nights. I would happily recommend this too other visitors as well.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS!!!! I chose to ignore the multiple bad reviews. I was wrong. Check in is supposed to be at 4 pm. We showed up at 6 pm and there were people waiting in the lobby. Apparently, like other reviews, they didn’t clean the rooms in time and we were told to wait an hour and come back. We had our dog with us and our kids in 15 degree weather but decided to go out and eat first. We did and came back at 7:30 and SURPRISE, the room still wasn’t even begun to be cleaned. He asked us to wait another 30min to an hour and I promptly said no. He then offered us a different room from what we wanted and since it was getting late, we accepted. Inside the room, the fire alarm on the ceiling was missing completely, which I’m sure is against the law, and cob webs all over the ceiling. The b

First, the good stuff. The hotel's location is unbeatable. It is within walking distance to Whole Foods and other restaurants. A 2 min drive by car will take you to the Target shopping center with dozens of stores and brimming with people. Now the bad stuff. The rooms were dated and need renovation like yesterday. There is no room service to take out trash and the trash bins outside were full all the days we stayed there. Toilet would drain slowly and water refilled even more slowly. Which means multiple people cannot consecutively use the bathroom. The size of shower is small, works well for young kids. Adults, not so much. I think there are better options to choose if you are willing to pay a bit more.

I stayed at Elevation Lodge on July 13th 2024 and paid 307.77 for a single night. A big part of why I chose this property was the high number of positive reviews. Those reviews are fake. The place is incredibly run down. The first room I was put in didn't have hot water. The front desk was helpful and did get me into another room, but the showers in both rooms were gross. Don't be fooled like I was, stay someplace else.
