Element Arundel Mills BWI Airport

This hotel experience was right up there as worst ever. We had a reservation and I had checked in on line. Check in was literally a 35 minute fiasco after we had just driven 10 hours to get there. We tried to check in @ 430 but were told all rooms were blocked and she couldn’t find one. The woman spent 20 min working on this and then called for help. We were finally checked in by I believe the front office manager. There were 5 people at the desk when it was done. I asked for the managers card and was given the Sales manager card who actually told us how unprofessional the experience was. She insisted she would make it right which was just hot air.||I asked for the managers card again several days later and was given the front office/ food services card? If I had received the actual manage

Positive: Had a full kitchen Negative: The woman at check in was very dismissive and not being transparent in regard to construction going on while still checking in customers. There was strong scents of paint fumes. The floor which my husband and I wreaked of Marijuana.

I am a Flight Attendant, I stayed here 9/28/25 received excellent customer service. The hotel is being refurbished the hallways and carpeting. The rooms were large clean, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable ! The bathroom is large the waterfall shower w extension handle was divine. I felt like I was in a sauna. Super relaxing🩵spa like experience especially after flying for 8 hours, from LAX to ATL then BWI. The breakfast was fabulous and included. Fresh fruit Belgium waffles buffet style extras breads great butter my fave and strong coffee. The staff Front desk was Dulce. Joseph in charge of the Breakfast area and Monica were an absolute delight and very accommodating and professional. Please choose to stay here. I would not steer you wrong. My lovely room attendant/ housekeepe

This was one of the dirtiest, most run-down Marriott properties I’ve ever stayed in. Upon arrival, the room was completely unacceptable—towels on the floor, urine in the toilet, an unmade bed, a dirty shower, and worn, damaged furniture. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, the staff were rude and dismissive, insisting the room had been “cleaned.” To make matters worse, I was charged multiple times for an incidental hold days after my stay. The overall condition of the hotel and the lack of professionalism were shocking for a Marriott brand. I ultimately had to use my Marriott points to book another property just to secure a clean, comfortable stay.

Look elsewhere. The hotel is not maintained well. Apparently they don't bother with housekeeping either. I was there for three nights and housekeeping didn't come once. I had to ask for fresh towels. The AC did not control the humidity so the room felt damp and sticky the entire time (August). Breakfast was weak. I really can't think of much to recommend about this hotel. I don't expect much when staying in Anne Arundel but they somehow still shocked me with how poorly the place was managed.
