Candlewood Suites Arundel Mills / Bwi Airport by IHG

I was searching for an affordable last minute hotel for a weekend trip and came across this one. The member discount truly came in handy. I traveled via train, and it was only 10 minutes away from the BWI Train Station. My room was clean and comfortable. It really felt like I was in a mini apartment. My favorite thing about the room was the kitchen. It came with the core amenities including a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. Additionally, it had (mostly) everything you needed including dish washing liquid, paper towels, and even plates/silverware. The customer service was also good. It was a smooth check in/check out process. I was able to check out digitally as a IHG rewards member. I also needed something printed and a lady at the front desk went out of her way to get it

We have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times in the past. It has went downhill significantly. It used to be nice and clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I am sorry to say it is no longer that way. The staff was not friendly at all. One of my biggest problems were the people hanging out in the lobby drinking at night and people smoking pot out in front of the hotel. I know Marijuana is legal now, but I don't want to smell it every time I go in and out of a hotel. If someone stayed here with kids, I guarantee it would be their first and last time. Also, no longer having the shuttle bus which is still listed and pictured on their website was a huge disappointment.

Positive: Everything is clean and updated. The staff were so sweet and accommodating. I was definitely home away from home. A special thanks to the manager ,front desk, staff for making me feel like a VIP. Negative: N/A

Great location., very easily accessible to the airport and parkway.. My daughter & ℹ really enjoyed our stay here., Pet friendly, comfortable beds, houses - keeping and management were great Front desk super friendly …. Highly Recommend! 5 stars ⭐️

I enjoyed the room and the accommodations. The room was clean and spacious. I stayed three nights from 11/13 - 11/16. My problem occured AFTER checkout. ||I checked out at the front desk with the employee on duty. I was sent an email saying I could check out digitally but when I saw it required me to download an app I opted to just take my keys to the front desk and check out that way. The employee asked if I checked out via the app and I said no ma'am. She said no problem sweetie, you're all set. My mom then checked out of her room as well. The only difference between me and my mom is that my mom requested a copy of her folio. I now wish I did the same! ||When I got home after a 11 hour drive last night, I discovered my credit card had been charged for an additional night and my checkout
