El Rio Motel

Possibly the most disgusting room I've slept in. I found a single edged razor on the shelf of the dresser. A wet towel in the bottom drawer and dirty (yellowed - not folded) towels in another drawer. Holes in the bedspread. Nothing looked clean. The freezer had ashes or some black stuff in it, and the picture on the wall had been destroyed and hung back up. The price was the highest we paid on our vacation. We won't be back.

One of the worst places I have ever stayed as I am a customer that has worked directly for hotels such as Marriot, Hyaat, and Hilton at many levels!!!!..would not recommend staying here. They don't allow people outside of there rooms on property and 2nd morning knocked while having breakfast and they were knocking with key in the door already entering room as I was answering it.

Went for mango and moringa plucking, which you can do for fun for a price per pound. Also, the owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful.

Single pane glass and blinds don't keep out the noise, and there is a lot of it. AC smelled from heavy mold, they said they cleaned it once a year but don't take off cover (spraying the outside does nothing, the fans on the cheap AC units have to be scrubbed down). They said no one told them it smelled, guess what: housekeeping should test everything when they clean. Inside was clean but has not been updated since the 40's or 50's . Lots of cracks in the bathroom tile. No receipt, no paperwork, had to call for wifi password. The blinds don't keep out noise or the outside lights that are always on, combine that with the staffs poor attitude and it would be better to sleep elsewhere

TRAVLERS BEWARE!!! Using a card is a 20% increase on the room. #1/ I get the room right next door to the office. Door slamming all the time. They are old. Never had a vacation until they got here to America. And bought this place. And after 30 + years here you go. This place that is a relic. Ok: now to #2 she open up the door and tobacco reach out and said BAAM!! W.vinegar will clean it off. She said that she will not refund me. I paid for a week. I cleaned it up myself. No discount. Travelers beware!!!! Awful stewards of the own motel. Most of there rooms are not able to rent out.
