El Monte Sagrado

My wife and I had a very relaxing stay here. The staff was professional, the property feels like a wellness retreat and the food is excellent. Beautiful architecture and decor. We loved the soaking tub in-room and the salt water pool. Lots of nice thoughtful touches throughout the experience. Only recommendations for improvement would be to update the a/v. We had some trouble connecting to wifi and the TV had a very dated directv system. There are also some minor maintenance things like a missing tile in the bathroom and some loose fixtures like smoke detectors kind of hanging from the ceiling. Not a huge deal. Overall great experience.

First and foremost, it always comes down to people making a difference, and the people working at El Monte Sagrado are spectacular! From the Valets to the Front Desk to the bar to the Maintenance crew - Friendly, helpful, attentive. Kudos! These people care!||The food is really fun, inventive, mostly delicious. Catering to a celiac/ gluten free diet would be a plus.||The Main buildings and grounds are spectacular! Beautiful, quiet, peaceful and serene really! Nicely done and seemingly cared for very well. ||Where my review takes a slight turn is when the property suffers the juxtaposition of the pricey room rate and the little things seemingly left uncared for. Monte Sagrado is definitely a place you stay for the experience. It feels like a secluded, luxurious retreat while still being conveniently close to downtown. From the moment you arrive, you immediately feel the warmth and excellent customer service at the front desk. We were able to take advantage of the shuttle service downtown, which I would highly recommend—it made getting around incredibly easy. Our room was very clean, cozy, and well appointed, with a beautiful bathroom, a fireplace, and all the amenities you could want. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and overall the property gives you the feeling that you’re somewhere truly special. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the El Monte Sagrado hotel. We had mistakenly booked an accessible room, and wanted a tub in our room. Amy at the front desk was extremely helpful, and switched us into another room, brought us new keys and escorted us to a room with a wonderful tub. We were there on the last night of our honeymoon, and the staff added wonderful little perks and touches to make our honeymoon extra special. When it started raining, the valet staff had complimentary umbrellas on hand for our trip into town. In short, The El Monte Sagrado is a wonderful place with great service!

We had a fantastic family vacation at El Monte Sagrado. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and offers a peaceful, relaxing environment that made it easy to unwind. The staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Our room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The grounds were exceptionally well maintained and added to the serene atmosphere of the property. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly return and recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.
