El Colibri Hotel & Spa

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting family in Cambria. Our room was upstairs with a view of forest. With the window open, we could hear the tides all night. Love that. We had a small jetted tub big enough for one person at a time. The room was clean and spacious. Plenty of parking!~ An easy path to the beach boardwalk.The front desk staff, Lisa was great!! Friendly and helpful. The continental free breakfast was just so so. We must have missed most of the fresh items. All that was left were overly processed,sugary packaged donuts. With so many food options in town, one would think that a hotel like this could work out something with a local bakery for better pastry items. Not a spa in any shape or form. We got absolutely ripped off by the nice aesthetic exterior in the ads, beautiful exterior but is a best western on the inside. We paid $450+ for one night expecting a premium stay...it was not. Don't pay anymore than $200 a night for this place. Spa: 2 steam showers + regular hot tub *2 massage rooms but staffed by 3rd party, no availability Rooms: Clean, nothing special, scratchy towels/sheets Food: No restaurant, snacks/beer/wine at lobby until 9pm, breakfast is crappy single packaged bagel or toast, vending machine

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the El Colibri. Only negative was that the hotel wifi was a bit dodgy. Staff was super friendly & nice. Good rooms great location, few steps away from the Moonstone boardwalk. Loved going out there for walks with our dog. Free EV charging was a bonus!

The staff made us feel very welcome and they were very accommodating. The facilities were excellent and the place had some a warm and cozy feeling. We loved the fires in the rooms and the jacuzzi and steam rooms. Breakfast was simple and grab and go style which worked fine for us. The location is perfect right next to amazing trails and wildlife. We will definitely be back.

The property is nice and the location is great. Room was spacious but the lay out was a bit irregular. The staff was pleasant. The only gripe I have is the continental breakfast. There were a few apples and bananas. Coffee was cold. Individually wrapped tiny muffins were bland and the bagels didn't look like any type of bagel that I have ever seen. Not a big deal, but worth noting.
