Edgewood Resort

Great resort for a family vacation! The owners were very nice. My 6 year old son had a lot of fun. The lake is great for swimming. The docks are very nice and had good padded bumpers which allowed us to tie up our boat for the week.

We had a wonderful stay in August. We got married in Nevis and were looking for a place where our families could stay after the wedding. We spent a week in cabin 1 and 2. Everyone was comfortable, had plenty of space, and loved the beach and water activities. Cabin one has lots of tables for a communal dinner and we enjoyed playing games there too. Further, each cabin has a fire pit and ample deck space to relax and look out at the lake. Ann was a great host too--clear, friendly communication and goes out of her way to make your stay fabulous!

We called last minute for a same day, one night stay on a saturday for just two people and our dog, and they were able to accommodate us! Immaculate cabin was well equipped and appointed with everything we would need for a much longer stay -- which i am now happily thinking of for a larger family occasion. We didn't even get to take advantage of kayaks and other bonuses. However, our dog also loved it, explored a lake shore for the first time in her life, and was welcome to play with the gracious owners' dogs.

My husband and I stayed in Cabin 3 for a week and had a few family members join us most nights. The kitchen was adequately furnished, nice grill, fire pit, could have slept 10 (we didn't need that much space), and the loft that overlooks beautiful Long Lake is an ideal hangout for reading or visiting. We used the playground and shuffle board equipment as well as the dock. We rented a pontoon for the week and were glad we did. Jeff and Ann responded quickly to our questions and the cabin was very clean. The lake was really quiet during our stay, as were the cabins around us. Very laid back and relaxing, which is what we wanted.

Our family rented Home and Away from Home Lodge, Loons Call Cabin and Family and Friends to host a family reunion. All cabins were spotless. We met for evening meals in the lodge and had plenty of space inside and on the deck We made use of the volleyball area as well as the kayaks and other toys. Anne and Jeff were gracious hosts. It was so convenient to rent a pontoon right and site and not have to meet a rental company at a landing. Bags of ice and wood are available at the resort. Note: Edgewood is located a short 7 minutes from downtown Park Rapids, not at Lake Itasca that is about 40 minutes north.
